PROTOTYPE HISTORY

Back in 1948, an object, which is still considered an alien ship, fell to Earth near the American town of Roswell. However, no one saw such devices up close either then or in all subsequent years. However, the image of a “flying saucer” launched to the masses by journalists has become a recognizable meme that has become a phenomenon of mass culture.

"Metal Time" creates models of any devices that are amenable to engineering analysis and design implementation and cannot stay away from objects that excite people's minds. Therefore, in the new model for the DIY kit "Stellar Raiders" all the recognizable features of alien ships from outer space were collected.

Now you do not need to go to Roswell to search for a "flying saucer". It will land right at your home!

“Metal Time” engineers took the shape of a "flying saucer" as a basis, as well as numerous legends that aliens abduct people and animals. To achieve the right level of inspiration to create the “Stellar Raiders” model, all team crew had to re-read a mountain of fantasy literature and review many comics and 10 seasons of the X Files series.

Due to this, the result turned out to be remarkable, and it will appeal to both fans of the idea of ​​​​an imminent alien invasion and skeptics. Because the Stellar Raiders model is extraordinarily beautiful.

Designers used many artistic elements, colored stainless steel, complex etching methods, die-cuts, lighting effects and complex mechanisms.

All off that will offer the owners of the construction set a very difficult challenge, because in order to assemble this model they will have to apply their skills acquired with our previous construction kits.

Features

Like all “Metal Time” DIY sets, the “Stellar Raiders” model is made from stainless steel, food-grade and approved for consumer goods and toys.

To give a unique appearance to the model, several details are colored: the “rim” of the plate is green and the dome is blue. They are also decorated with stylized "alien" symbols. On the dome, raised dots depict signs reminiscent of the architecture of QR codes, and on the rim there is a pattern of carved holes.

The "rays" emanating from the center of the ship became the basis for the Art Nouveau style stand. Between the "rays" is a cow that aliens abduct for experiments (or for milk, as in the popular television series). Thanks to the built-in mechanism, the animal can be either drawn into the plate or lowered to the ground.

Inside the model of an alien ship are its "pilots" - classically depicted aliens.

The entire structure of the plate rotates around its axis. The arrival effect is complemented by lighting effects from a light source located inside the structure. Thanks to numerous holes in the body of the model, it creates reflections on the walls and ceiling of the room, which makes it not only a decorative item, but also an original source of lighting.

For “Metal Time”, the “Stellar Raiders” is one of the first in the 2022 lineup, and it shows new building kit trends for the new year.
