PROTOTYPE HISTORY

In times of the great antique empire’s wars, Persian horsemen practiced their skill through circular races. The task was to maintain speed and distance between the riders. Sometimes the task became more complicated: several circles were created and the riders alternately fired from their bows at the center, where the targets were located.

This exercise has been used for centuries in teaching horsemanship. In Europe, it acquired a ritual significance and was used as a jousting tournament. And then it became popular entertainment. In this kind, it was called the “carousel”. So from the military camps, the carousel moved to the central squares of medieval cities. The horses running in circles remained, but now joyful children sat on them. The carousel has gone through many incarnations in different versions of mechanisms and architecture. And so far, this technical solution is the best suited for modeling. The designers of Metal Time creatively approached the historical image and retained its basic architecture: the outlines of a camping tent, a rotating disk, and figures arranged in a circle. In the version of “Riding the Best” the “Metal Time” models appear on the carousel. Thus, in addition to hours of technical creativity and interior decoration, model owners get the opportunity to study and show others our model range.

Features

The self-assembly model “Riding the Best” consists of a platform inside which is a rotating disk driven by an electric motor. The disk contains schematic images of the most popular ‘’Metal Time’’ models. Among them, you can recognize “Elusive Nautilus”, “Ukrainian Dream”, “Lifting Spirit”, “Roadway fantasy”, etc.

The classic canopy of the carousel is made in the form of a gears ornament. It is crowned with the “Metal Time” logo.

The carousel railing is also decorated with ornaments and a stylized company slogan: “Collect the best!”.

The “Riding the Best” model is made using colored stainless steel, which gives it an original look as a bright part of the model range. This turns it into a bright toy, a part of the installation, and an element of the decoration of the room.

The carousel moves due to the electric motor. The battery pack is located at the base of the model. All contacts and conductors are securely isolated and do not pose a threat of contact with the user’s skin.
